# BrandGate API

> Connect your ERP, partner software and AI assistants to BrandGate.

BrandGate is a B2B wholesale platform: brands sell to their resellers through it. The BrandGate API gives the systems around a brand the same data the brand sees in BrandGate, in a stable, versioned shape.

Most customers never need the API. BrandGate already connects to accounting and ERP systems such as Fortnox, Business Central, Visma, Bokio, Pyramid and Monitor from **Settings → ERP**, in a couple of clicks. Use the API when you build your own integration, connect software we do not cover yet, or want an AI assistant to work with your orders.

## What you can do

Changes are pushed to you as signed [webhooks](/webhooks), so you do not have to poll.

## Two ways to connect

**API key**

A company admin creates a key in **Settings → Developers** in BrandGate and chooses its scopes. Use it for your own integration with your own ERP or scripts. See [API keys](/authentication).

**OAuth (partners)**

You register your app once with BrandGate. Each customer clicks **Connect** in your product, approves the access in BrandGate, and you receive tokens for that company only. See [OAuth for partners](/oauth).

All requests use HTTPS and JSON. Every response carries `Cache-Control: no-store`.
