# Rate limits

> Generous limits, announced in every response.

| Limit | Value |
| - | - |
| Per API key or OAuth connection | 600 requests per minute |
| Per company, across all keys and connections | 1,200 requests per minute |
| OAuth token endpoint, per client | 60 requests per minute |

Every response tells you where you stand:

```

When you go over, you get `429 rate_limited` with a `Retry-After` header in seconds. Wait that long and retry; do not retry in a tight loop.

To stay well inside the limits, use [webhooks](/webhooks) instead of polling, use `updated_since` to fetch only what changed, ask for `limit=100` per page, and send stock in batches of up to 500 SKUs.
