Most brands do not need the API. BrandGate connects to accounting and ERP systems for you, from Settings → ERP.
1

Open Settings → ERP

You need to be a company admin. Pick your system from the list.
2

Sign in and approve

BrandGate sends you to your ERP to approve the connection (for example Fortnox). Some systems use an API key instead; the screen tells you which.
3

Choose what to sync

Turn on what you want: orders and invoices into the ERP, and stock from the ERP into BrandGate. Each option explains what it does before you switch it on.

Who sends the invoice?

Under Invoice delivery you choose whether BrandGate or the connected ERP e-mails the invoice. The choice is saved on each invoice when it is created, so changing it later never re-sends or changes old invoices. Credit notes always follow the invoice they credit.

One owner of stock

Only one system can own stock. If your ERP sets stock inside BrandGate, the API stock update is refused with 409 inventory_managed_by_erp, which protects you from two systems overwriting each other.

Which systems?

BrandGate supports several ERP and accounting systems, and availability grows over time. The current list is on the Integrations page. If yours is missing, you have two options:
